CGI / 3D Modelling and Digital Sculpture

Meet Earmett!

A Character sculpted in Autodesk Maya and Mudbox.

Work included creating a model sheet which provided a visualisation of the intended character, which included a personality pose (colour) and orthographic views of front and sides which were taken into Maya for model referencing.

The process began with a few sketches and ideas…

…then creating a model sheet which provided a visualisation of the intended character in orthographic views to be taken into Maya for referencing to create a base mesh.

…which is then sculpted in a symmetrical T-Pose…

…then rigged to match personality pose…

And finally, a podium added with additional meshes, finer texture, colour and UVs.

Meet EBoy!

A CGI Character created in Autodesk Maya.

Work included creating a model sheet which provided a visualisation of the intended character, which included a personality pose (colour) and orthographic views of front and sides which were taken into Maya for model referencing.

Further work included UV Mapping/image textures, creating a suite of facial expressions, and rigging for animation.

The main body of work was created in Autodesk Maya, check it out on this interactive sketchfab:

Further development included facial rigging for various facial expressions and movements:
